Derek Thomas’ emerges after nearly a decade of stepping away from society during a deeply personal journey living remote throughout Indonesia, Maldives and the jungles of Central America, where he spent his days writing music, surfing and diving deeply into the eastern arts.

Now residing between the holistic retreat center "Casa Soul Water” based in Nicaragua and his beloved town Laguna Beach, he returns to his passion for being intimate both on stage and in the studio, offering up his vulnerability, emotional depth and passion for the art and craft of song-writing.
